Golden Rock Regatta '08

November 2005 the first Golden Rock Regatta fleet departed from St. Martin and set course for Frigate Bay St. Kitts. Visiting 4 islands in 5 days. A series of pursuit and class races from island to island makes this Regatta unique, exiting and funtastic. With St. Martin as its starting base and St. Eustatius at the center of the regatta, sailors can enjoy also on St. Barths and St. Kitts. The regatta takes place in november anually to celebrate Statia - America Day.

Commemorating the First Salute in 1776. With all the festivities on Statia the locals welcome sailors from America, Europe and neighbouring islands. In this week the quiet island of Statia booms with partying sailors and locals.
