About Us

Racecharter is the first Website worldwide with a global charter offer for the serious racer.

Racecharter is a company, start-up from yachtsmen, made for yachtsmen.

Use our experience to find your racing yacht.

There are several reasons why we started-up Racecharter:

The lack of racing yachts on the market, our own experience as charterers and operators of racing yachts and a lot of feedback of sailing friends, colleagues and customers. You can benefit from our extensive experience and our contacts to the charter industry. We love sailboat racing on a high level and we want to pass this passion directly on to you.

We are always happy to help you finding or marketing your perfect racing charter.

The two founders are:

Heiko Godel - our sailing expert.

Heiko started sailing at the age of 10 and came almost straight to regatta sailing. Since 1993 he sailed as pro for teams like AeroSail, Antibody Sailing Team, Illbruck Challenge, Jeantex, Prosail at various inshore and offshore regattas on yachts like ILC 40, JOD 35, Mumm 36, various Swans, 11m One Design, VOR 60 and maxi yachts. He also participated at the International Match Race Circuit. He skippered many regattas and was racing coach during many Antigua Sailing Weeks and worked as race consultant for a project of The Moorings. Since he left University in 1999 he worked in the event business which goes perfect with his passion sailing. Amongst others he worked for the event team of the German America's Cup challenger UITG and managed and organised other sailing incentives and corporate events. If you want to contact him directly, you may send an E-Mail to heiko.godel [at] racecharter.com.

Julia Radsch - our creative head.

Julia is responsible for marketing. She studied business at University and collected experience in branches like tourism, media, event management and yacht charter since 1997. Julia sails since 1997 and really loves it. She prefers sailing in warm regions, so she knows the Caribbean very well and participated several times at most of the Caribbean regattas (St. Martin Heineken Regatta, St. Thomas Rolex Cup, BVI Spring Regatta, Culebra International Regatta and of course Antigua Sailing Week). In 2002 she delivered and raced her JOD 35 from Venice, Italy to St. Lucia in the Caribbean. Since then she tries to be in the Caribbean as often as possible. If you want to contact her directly, you may send an E-Mail to julia.radsch [at] racecharter.com.
